It's okay not to be okay. We're here to help.
Sometimes it can feel like just living your life has become overwhelming. We may experience strong reactions to life events, such as the loss of a loved one, or the end of a significant relationship. Other times, we have simply lived with unhealthy behaviour patterns or poor emotional coping mechanisms for too long: Depressed or deflated moods, problems with anger, difficulties in forming relationships, or constant worrying and feeling anxious to the point of distress.
We understand the courage it takes to commit to therapy, and provide you with a safe and validating environment to share your experiences. Our approach is to help you discover the origins of your emotional distress in order to increase your insight into the issues you are struggling with, and help you understand how your emotions are created. We teach positive coping skills to manage and control your emotions and, through a process of helping you discover your thoughts and core beliefs, develop a better mindset and in turn, engage in healthier behaviours.
Reaching out to a professional therapist is not a sign of weakness. It is a sign that you are brave enough to take the first step toward a happier and more peaceful life. We look forward to hearing from you.
