KATHERINE IRWIN, M.A., RP (Qualifying)
Katherine is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) and a member of the Ontario Association of Mental Health Professionals (OAMHP). She has a Master of Psychology degree from the Adler Graduate Professional School and a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) from Queen’s University. Katherine completed her clinical internship at York University, where she provided individual, group and crisis counselling to post-secondary students. Katherine works with adults, adolescents and couples in the areas of:
Trauma & Post Traumatic Stress (PTSD)
She uses a variety of therapeutic approaches including:
Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT)
Trained in a variety of therapeutic approaches, Katherine tailors her approach to meet the needs and style of each client. She views therapy as a collaborative process and places an emphasis on building a strong therapeutic alliance and trust with each client. Katherine views clients as capable and resourceful. She believes we all have the capacity for growth and empowerment.
