ANNA MARSON, M.A., CCC, RP
Anna is a Registered Psychotherapist (RP) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO). She holds a Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology from the University of Victoria and is currently completing a Doctorate of Psychology (PsyD) at California Southern University. She has over 8 years of clinical experience in the field and has practiced in front-line, educational, and private practice settings.
Anna has a client-centred, individualized approach to therapy. She is trauma-informed and also specializes in anxiety, mood, and stress-related disorders, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, acquired brain injury, addiction, and attachment (relationship) concerns. She is informed by evidence-based therapies including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, Emotionally-Focused Therapy, Eye-Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Interpersonal/Relational Psychotherapy.
Anna frequently offers ‘psychoeducation’ to help clients appreciate the scientific underpinnings of their presenting concerns in order to promote self-awareness, compassion, and empowerment to make meaningful positive shifts in their lives. Overall, Anna’s work is inspired by the science of neuroplasticity (mental growth, development and change throughout the lifespan) and the potential it holds for learning and healing in us all.
